I was born in Montgomery Alabama and raised in Tampa, Florida . My family and I moved to Clanton in 1996. Since I am a descendent of Alfred Baker, I am related to many folks in this area. My family includes my spouse Art Hoyt, 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

 

My education includes a BA in Sociology from the University of South Florida, a BFA from Maine College of Art and a MFA from Auburn University. My work has been exhibited in many solo and group shows throughout the US. Currently I am a member of Christians in the Visual Arts and Vice President of the Chilton County Arts Council. I am also curator of Rose Gallery in Clanton.
